about us

Zoobu Yili is a community-based organization founded in early 2025 by Anske Ruyters (Belgium), Sumaila Adam (Ghana), and Mustapha Maigah (Ghana). Brought together by a passion for cultural preservation and a shared concern over the erosion of Ghanaian traditions, We established this foundation to address the growing challenges faced by the community.

With the rise of stereotypes and modern influences, many young people are losing touch with their cultural roots, leading to a decline in social well-being and an increase in destructive behaviors. Additionally, the lack of opportunities for talent development and education has pushed many children into child labor, leaving them with limited prospects for a brighter future.

At Zoobu Yili, we believe that connecting with diverse cultures and backgrounds promotes mutual understanding and respect while enriching perspectives.

Our Vision

To create a lasting bridge between Ghana and other nations by promoting meaningful connections, enriching cross-cultural exchange, and preserving cultural traditions that support social, emotional, and mental well-being.

Our Mission

To inspire and empower individuals by preserving cultural traditions through drumming, dancing, and singing, while providing accessible education that nurtures well-being and fosters inclusive, supportive connections.

“Our rich and varied cultural heritage has a profound power to help build our nation.”
